When I wrote Flowers of Grace, I wanted to convey the legacy of nurturing that my dear friend Holly showed in her life. She inspired me to get outside of myself and reach out to others. More than ten years later another woman, Lilly, saw that in me and gave me her hibiscus to care for upon her death.
